Million Miles…Listen Learn and then Lead

Million Miles…Listen Learn and then Lead was organised by S. S. Dempo College of Commerce and Economics, BBA department in association with Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration (CIBA).

Keynote speakers of the function were Mr.VinitGoenka, Co-convener of BJP IT Cell and Mr.PranaySwarup, Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer, letsintern.com. Dignitaries on the dais were Principal of College, Mrs.Nayak, Mr.VinitGoenka, Mr.PranaySwarup, Mr. J. M. Norohna, CEO of Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration, and coordinator of the function, Mr.TulsidasPai. It was an ecstatic environment. Audience mainly comprised of students from various colleges, working professionals, and teachers and of course press.

Opening remarks were made by CEO of Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration, where Mr.Norohna, CEO, elucidated role Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration plays in entrepreneurship and startup culture. He gave an insight into working of CIBA and opportunities it provides to people.

Proceedings of the function was later carried by Mr.VinitGoenka. He delineated how technology can be used in organization building. The entire presentation was focussed on “Differentiation is Innovation” theme. He further went on to explain how data analytics was used along with social media to project views of his party to different section of voters.

It all started by explaining that India was first to practise democracy which he clearly explained by providing example of a community in state of Bihar which used process of voting to elect their community leader. He then went to explain Hitler’s strategy of distributing pamphlets; to that of John F. Kennedy who used television; the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama who used social media and last but not the least our own Prime Minister, Mr.NarendraModi. His presentation was concluded by a big round of applause.

It was Mr.PranaySwarup, who made the college students feel at home by mentioning that he belongs to audience community and not the speaker, not to forget he also called himself last row guy thus making place in hearts of many students who occupied last row seats. His presentation was all about how he started his company. He elaborated his entire timeline from his schools days to that of AIESEC days and how this helped him to be an entrepreneur. He also helped many students who had doubts regarding “higher studies or work” by clearly explaining to them the pros and cons of higher studies and of working.

Thanks to Mr.TulsidasPai, who coordinated Q&A. Many questions right from policy making, startup culture, and incubation procedure were well answered by Mr.VinitGoenka, Mr.PranaySwarup and Mr. J.M. Norohna.

Function was concluded by vote of thanks by student’s representative. Mr.RaghuvirMahale found it difficult to cope with the adulation of Mrs.Nayak as she made it a point to thank him for his whole hearted efforts to organize event.

It was defining moment for Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration, Assagao Goa when Mr.VinitGoenka, Co-convener of BJP IT cell and Mr.PranaySwarup, Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer of letsinter.com visited CIBA Assagao along with General Manager, Mr.D S Prashantand Manager Mr.RaghuvirMahale.

After visiting the centre, lot of ideas and proposal were showered on the centre by the guests.

Incubates and students got an opportunity to interact with the dignitaries. It was an overwhelming experience for Incubates as they got lot of ideas and strategies on their respective business.
