Adv. Francis D’Souza ; Deputy Chief Minister of Goa kicked
of the entrepreneurship activities in North Goa in the presence of minister for
Industries Shri. Mahadev Naik, by inaugurating the Entrepreneurship Development
Programme at the Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration, Assagoa
Bardez Goa. The State government and Central government has invested more than
Rupees Two Crore for the establishment of the state of the art entrepreneurship
and incubation centre which will support innovative start-up companies and will
also boost entrepreneurship amongst the youth of Goa.
Shri.
J.M. Noronha, CEO of the centre introduced the activities of the centre and
informed that the centre also provides mentoring, rapid prototyping facilities
with 3D printer, seed funding along with infrastructure
and training facilities. About 20 innovative companies from
the 35 supported by CIBA were felicitated which included companies who are awarded
gold medal by government of India and also a Goan company which was acquired by
a German company.
Leiansis, a company promoted by Sudhir Acharya and his team
launched their product to support career development of student at the hands of
Adv. Fransic D’Souza.
Shri.Mahadev Naik, the minister for Industries expressed
happiness in supporting industries which will provide opportunities for self
employment and employment generation. He also highlighted the Make in India
programme and assumed every effort will be made to upgrade the skill of local
talent.
Adv. Fransic D’Souza congratulated the efforts to create a
world class facility for idea commercialisation and entrepreneurship and
informed that this will go a long way to make Goa into an entrepreneurship
abilities and talent. He urged the youth to make use of these facilities to
make rapid strides in life.
Incubates of CIBA were felicitated in hands of Shri. Francis
D’Souza and Shri. Mahadev Naik .
